Voice of Truth keeps track of what’s happening in the political sphere, and alerts the church to potential changes in government that could affect the assembly and its members.

HOW TO BE INVOLVED IN HAWAII’S 2022 LEGISLATIVE SESSION

I’m asking you take these quick and easy steps TODAY that will make a big difference:

Go to the State Capitol website at https://capitol.hawaii.gov/ and register now for a free account. (You’ll need to register in order to submit testimony, track bills, find out when committee hearings occur, and more.)

Find out who your elected legislators are if you don’t already know. The online tool, “Find My Legislator” will allow you to find out which legislators represent you and provide their contact information. Make sure you contact your legislator and tell them the things that are important to you.

Download the Legislative calendar and print out a copy so you’ll know the key dates of this year’s Session, which lasts from January 19, to May 5, 2022.

Read the bills that get introduced this Session and stay engaged. We will let you know when important bills and deadlines come up in future emails, but we also need your help to stay engaged and on top of the legislative process. Democrats need to be held accountable to the People, and with your help, they will.
