This past Sunday was an amazing display of bravery/foolishness, digestive acrobatics, and just plain insanity. The Challenge was issued and the Young Adults of The Reef answered. I think we can safely say that if you are at The Reef, you are swimming with the most ferocious sea creatures around. Betta Fish baby!!!! There were plenty of new faces there and connections were made. Rumors of bonding over rubbish cans through pained eye contact and moans of suffering are floating around. Friends for life.

If you missed the insanity this past Sunday, please make sure you join us:

Saturday, August 16th at 7:00 pm in the Double Room (#116)

We will be having our monthly 3rd Saturday Service and announcing the winners of the challenge. Word is there might even be a video and prizes for the winners. I don’t know, I think the satisfaction of eating a roach should be enough for most people but we’ll have prizes anyway.

It is exciting to see God move!!!!! (and isn’t funny how he does it in such interesting ways.

God Bless and See you There,
Deitra

~ Preface ~

As a young parent, I can only imagine what it will be like to send off my sons to the uncharted waters of adult life - college, career, marriage, parenthood - oh my! To gain some perspective, I look back at when my parents first dropped me off at college in the middle of the U.S. in a place where no one in our family had any connection with.

Or an even scarier thought to me now, how did my parents feel seeing me off to Officer Candidate School? It must be a scary thing to let go of those you have held as infants, bandaged as children, and managed as teenagers.

Can you imagine how the Lord felt as He ascended looking down at His disciples while they stood motionless looking up? What did His fully human heart feel at that moment?
