About East Honolulu

This election season, the members of the East Honolulu region are sign waving in support of someone higher than any elected official. Led by Pastor Andrew Yasuhara, members of the congregation wave signs before holidays such as Easter, Mother's Day and Father's Day, extending an invitation to the community to come support God's mission to reach the lost.

During one of their Mother's Day outreaches, members of the church passed out roses to mothers in Hawaii Kai Shopping Center, encouraging them to attend Sunday morning service. One mother was compelled to come to service the following Sunday and made a life-changing decision to accept Christ as her Lord and savior.

Besides community outreaches, members are also active in larger corporate events such as Hallelujah Night and the Singing Christmas Tree, held annually at Red Hill. “East Honolulu prides itself in getting involved in every corporate event in spite of our small size,” says Pastor Andrew. “At any corporate event East Honolulu always has an equal number of volunteers.”

East Honolulu regional center is located in Hawaii Kai and was established in 2006 to meet the growing needs of the East Honolulu community. The region's ministry is growing and members capitalize on events such door-to-door outreaches and potlucks to spread God's message of love, forgiveness and salvation.
