First Assembly of God
First Assembly of God was founded in downtown Honolulu in 1947. As a Pentecostal church, we rely on the Holy Spirit to help us transform our community and reach the islands for Christ. We believe that God's Word is still relevant for life today, and also understand the importance of adapting our methods to meet the needs of today's generation.
You will find our church family to be empowering, compassionate, accepting, respectful, and encouraging. In our worship, we play both modern and traditional songs that emphasize ministry to our Lord Jesus. We also emphasize personal, inter-relational discipleship through our times of fellowship and weekly small-group Bible studies.
Worship services are held on Sunday mornings and evenings. Bible-study courses are available during morning worship services, as well as K.I.D.S. church, nursery care and foreign language services in Japanese, Korean and Spanish. For an overview of weekly events, see the Services & Events page.
